So, as is obvious, I will be in Rome sooner or later.
I had started a blog for that on Travelpod, but I hereby declare Travelpod lousy. HELLOHO WELCOME TO THE AGE OF ACCESSIBILITY!
So, I’ll repost the two things I have posted on Travelpod here.
Good day to you all!
I’m so happy!
AHA! Happy go lucky me!
I just go my way,
living everyday!
I don’t worry!
Worrying don’t agree,
Things that bother you,
never bother me!
Things that bother you,
never bother me!

I’m curious, what didn’t you like about TravelPod? We try hard to make our website as user-friendly as possible. Let me know how we can fix it, and we’ll change it so that you’ll come back!

First of all, let me say: Thank you very much for being here asking this, it’s good to see this amount of effort being put into customer service.
I’ll try to sum up what made Travelpod so hard to use for me. In essence though the functionality is very good.
I have to say, I’m a very hard to please person when it comes to websites.
What throws me off track right from the start is the fact that there seem to be text/clickable text/buttons everywhere.
And I say seem to be because really it’s not that there is a huge amount of text there, it’s more that the text is too small, small text makes it look messy, or well, maybe not messy but more.. crowded? Well, you get the essence.
The buttons have small text too, but there are also too many for a main menu. The golden rule for all designers should be 7 buttons in the main navigation.’
I’m not saying users can’t get used to it, of course they can get used to it, if they want to. A lot of users would not put that effort into it.
Also, there’s no clear boundary between the ads and the actual content of the website. They’re the same, integrated.
I’m all for integration and content that has the same look and feel, but there should be a clear line between user generated content and ads.
I have some more comments, but have to go right now, maybe we can talk some time.
